Project Summary
I was approached by the Mithali, an Indian restaurant based in Barrow-in-Furness, and asked if I could produce them a website. The main purpose of the site was to promote the restaurant but it was also necessary that customers could make table reservations online and also apply for a free loyalty card which entitles them to 15% off.
The finished piece was a wonderful, functional site that had a great cultured feel to it reflecting the cuisine that they serve. The table booking system allows customers to fill in the number in their party, time they will be arriving, and contact details. Once the submit button is pressed an e-mail is sent to the restaurant computer so the staff know to expect the party. If there are any problems such as the restaurant being fully booked at that time the staff will get in contact with the customer to arrange another time.
The loyalty card form works in the same way, once the customer fills out the form their details are e-mailed to the restaurant who will then post out a free loyalty card.
